Our goal is to import premium quality stereo components with incredible performance but affordable prices into Canada. We started with a great manufacturer from China named SHANLING. SHANLING has received the ISO9001 International Quality Assurance authentification one of the very few leading audio manufacturers to have been recognized in this way and was awarded the UKAS certificate by the British Government in May 1998.

We've finally found a great analog line of cartridges, tonearms and turntables. It is Scheu Analog from Germany.

Scheu Analog has been in existence for more than 20 years, designing and building tonearms and turntables that exceed the performance you would expect at their prices.

A trained toolmaker and talented musician, Thomas Scheu built his first record player in 1985. Inspired by his passion, he was aided by his skill at solution-oriented thinking, his familiarity with materials science and his talent for design and construction-both in developing his ideas and expanding his company. One special highlight of what was still a hobbyist career at the time was the presentation of the "Golden Ear Award" 2001 by The Absolute Sound magazine.

In December 2004, after Thomas Scheu's death, his wife Ulla Scheu took over the responsibility for running the company. She fully comprehended how to integrate the Scheu tradition with modern commerce. She continues to hark back to her husband's ideas but has put paid to the company's early image of a select secret for connoisseurs only, investing in advertising and expansion to bring the merits of the work he started to the wider public.

"We carry on and there will be further innovations but they will always have their roots in his ideas," says Ulla Scheu, sharing her personal view of the company and indeed giving a glimpse of her view of life as a whole.

Scheu has come to achieve major status in the audiophile hi-fi market and running the company is now a full-time job.
